We would love to have you and your family visit our farm. When you arrive, park in the parking lot. If you want to buy pre-picked berries, you go to the Strawberry Stand. Pre-picked berries may be purchased and are sold in little wooden baskets which hold 1 ⅔ pounds or 6 baskets in a flat which weighs ten pounds or more.If you wish to pick your own, the Strawberry Express will take you out to the strawberry field we are picking in and the patch foreman will provide you with a carrier, flats, and a flag to mark your row. The foreman will bring you more flats if you need them and will help you load your berries back on the Strawberry Express. The Express will bring you back to the stand by the parking lot where you will be helped to unload your berries.
You may go to your car for a purse if you need. We accept cash and personal checks. We do have appropriate insurance for farm visitors. Rest room facilities are available. Picking ages are newborn to 100 plus years old. Baby carriages and walkers are welcome.
Navigation:MAP We are located 3 miles west of Sanborn on highway 18 and 3 ½ miles north on blacktop L40. There are Iowa tourist signs on highway 18 and 60 directing you to Gettings Garden and a sign with a big red Gettings Garden strawberry at the entrance to Strawberry Lane. We are open mid-June until picked out.
